If the only thing you have seen at DrinkingAndDriving.Org is this blog, you may not realize we are an educational resource visited by over a thousand high schools, colleges, and universities every week. You may have come here from our Facebook, or maybe even our Twitter feed. But there is more to what we do.
We are a 501c3 non-profit whose mission is to teach and inspire the prevention of drunk driving. If you drop down to our home page, you’ll find links to The SoberDrivers Pledge, The National Directory of Designated Drivers, The DUI Avoidance Lesson Plan, this blog, and more.
These are some of the educational materials and tools we produce to fight the cultural dilemma that creates impaired driving. You see, as a people, we party together and let each other drive away. While there are plenty of organizations attempting to solve this puzzle with laws, at DADO we believe that through pervasive, and consistent peer pressure, we as individuals can change the behaviors around us that lead to drunk/drugged driving. Together, we can change the culture.
DrinkingAndDriving.Org operates on a shoestring budget and we do everything we can to promote sober driving with donations we receive. If you help us, we can expand our reach and expand the new cultural standard we want people to adopt.
That’s why we are part of the Give BIG San Bernardino County campaign. Give BIG is a month of giving leading up to a 24 hour webathon event on Giving Tuesday, November 29th, 2016. The non-profits receiving donations through Give BIG are all located in San Bernardino County, but you can give no matter where you are.
