Since the September 11 terror attacks, over 200,000 men women and children have died in America as a result of drunk driving. Laws providing a deterrent are not enough. We need to address the behaviors in our culture that put drunk drivers on the road. It is time to stand up and admit that as a culture, we drink together and LET each other drive away.

In America on average, nearly 11,000 people die every year in DUI-related crashes. This decline of a couple hundred fatalities per year is a function of improved vehicle safety, NOT the necessary change in our behaviors. A full 1/3 of all arrested for DUI/DWI are repeat offenders.
