Bob Perkell is one of the most frequently requested
comedians at 12-step conventions across the country. Being
clean and sober for over 7 years hasn't slowed Bob down
one bit. In his comedy, he tells of the lows that he
hit, and how fortunate he is that he lived to look back
on it - as he makes the audience he identifies with
laugh. Bob currently does over 36 shows a year in
cities across America at these conventions. He works
with recovery groups all over. Bob believes in the DrinkingAndDriving.Org cause and sees synergy between
his 12-step efforts and the concept of keeping people from
spiraling to those depths in the first place.
Bob started his comedy career at the famous Laff Stop in
Newport Beach, California and the laffs haven't stopped
yet. Bob did so well so fast he was soon asked to be the
house MC. The crowds responded so quickly to Bob's
unique stage energy that within a mere six months,
that's the equivalent of 15 minutes in comedy years, Bob
was producing and hosting his own shows five nights a
week in Orange County. To expand his comedy horizons,
and material, Bob hit the road for six months touring
across the country. This six-month straight comedy
odyssey allowed Bob to develop his unpredictably
hysterical approach to comedy. You never know what he's
going to say, when he'll break into an appropriate song
or, for that matter, inappropriate song, share the
voices in his head with the audience or get down with
the crowd. Bob always has fun on stage and the
audience can’t help but be swept up in the laughter.
In addition to playing the top clubs, Bob has toured
overseas entertaining our troops, as if they don't have
enough insanity to deal with already.
Whether you see Bob on TV, in the major comedy clubs, a
tent in Iraq, or right here at DrinkingAndDriving.Org,
always cinch your seatbelt tightly across your funny
bone and hold on for a wild, yet sober ride into the
hysterical world of Bob Perkell. He is truly one of a
kind.

Hi
Everybody. Bob Perkell here.
Thx for checking out DrinkingAndDriving.Org. We hope to
teach you how to act like an adult when you’re doing
adult things.
I’m a recovering alcoholic/addict, who got two DUI’s
notched on my belt. Since the day I got my license, I
can’t tell you how many times over a span of twenty
years, I’d get in my car after a show/club/friends house
and attempt to try and make it home without putting my
life or someone else’s life in harm’s way. What an idiot
I was. I’m one of the few lucky ones that should be
dead, and maybe taken a few people with me. Thank God!!!
Though being clean and sober is my personal preference
it may not be for you. Having a few cocktails shouldn’t
be serious, but drinking and driving sure as hell is.
Could you imagine living on this planet everyday with
the guilt of taking someone else’s life, cause you were
too stupid to make a responsible decision on not getting
in your car after throwing a few down? I couldn’t. What
about rolling your car, hitting a pole, whatever and
ending up in a wheelchair, paralyzed from the genitals
down. Now you got to spend the rest of your days on this
planet trying to get someone to wipe your butt.
NO THANK YOU, LIFES TOO SHORT AND HARD ENOUGH ALREADY
WITHOUT ALL THAT!!!
How do you drink and then drive a motor vehicle
afterwards?
Alcohol is a drug, it’s a depressant, and it slows down
your thinking, your reflexes, and your judgment. Ever
wake up with an ugly person and think, Oh My God, did I
do that?
YES YOU DID!!!
Drinking and driving really is a form of insanity isn’t
it? Sooner or later (It’s just a matter of time) your
going to get caught in some form or fashion. A DUI,
wreck your car, or god forbid, Vehicular Manslaughter.
Everybody likes to blow off some steam, hit the clubs,
go over to a friends/relatives house and have a good
time cracking jokes, telling stories or having
unprotected sex with ugly people. You start with a
couple beers, maybe a glass of wine, couple of stiff
cocktails. As the evening goes on, before you know It
someone’s busts out the tequila and everybody’s doing
shots. Now you’re really having so much fun, do you
really know when to stop and be responsible? I don’t
know about you, but I sure as hell didn’t. I had way too
much ego for that. And isn’t that what alcohol is, a big
glass of happy, slow motioned ego?
If you like to party, we don’t mind. We just don’t want
you getting into your car and killing us. So we’re going
to teach you how to be responsible enough when you drink
to not drive. You can have fun, and do it without train
wrecking your life.
So welcome to DrinkingAndDriving.Org. Read away friends,
we’re here to help. Here’s the tools, now take advantage
of what we have to offer you.
