    I prefer to see this as the wake-up call we need. We drive stupidly, and year after year thousands of people wind up maimed or dead because of it.

    But we don’t have to drive like idiots, and those people don’t have to die.

    If we are forced to learn to drive intelligently — and obey the law while we’re at it — this would be a vast improvement.

    I seriously doubt if this is going to produce much change in the drunk driving scenario. Most people will sill prefer to go by their own cars and then drive home after having a drink. And if they get caught by the cops, well there are law firms that have have impaired driving lawyers right? The first thing we have to do is to change the mindset of people, unless that happens nothing will work.
